The Idea Behind EYAS
For a long time, I thought growth was all about results. The next goal, the next victory, the next step. I was often focused on where I wanted to go, which meant I rarely stopped to consider where I was at that moment.
I looked at people who seemed to be further ahead. People who had achieved more, were more successful, or were already living at a level I hadn’t yet reached. Without realising it, I began to measure my own progress more and more against that of others.
Over time, I began to realise something. The people I admired weren’t defined by their results. They were shaped by everything that came before. The discipline to carry on when no one is watching. The sacrifices that no one sees. The moments when giving up is easier than carrying on. Don’t get me wrong, everyone follows a different path. And of course, circumstances, opportunities and sometimes luck play a part. But it was precisely because of this that I realised the only person I have control over is myself. That’s why I decided to focus my energy on what I could influence.
That changed my perspective on success.
I don’t believe that an outcome defines who you are. Outcomes show what you’ve achieved, but they don’t tell the whole story. What says far more about who you are is the journey you’ve taken to get there. The choices you’ve made. The setbacks you’ve overcome. The dedication you’ve shown, even on the days when nobody was watching.
That’s why EYAS exists.
Not as a reminder of what you’ve achieved, but as a reminder of who you become when you decide to give something your all. Because ultimately, I believe that the person you become on the journey is more valuable than any end result.

Even when nobody is watching, the real work happens unseen.
Drie afspraken. Niet meer.
From workout to everyday.

Eén shirt voor de sportschool om 06:00, de koffie-meeting om 10:00, en de avondrun om 20:00. Niet omdat het "athleisure" is omdat het onze hele dag meegaat.
